Iris Hollow

Iris Hollow    |   Boulder, Colorado

Boulder’s first new-urbanist neighborhood, Iris Hollow was planned, designed and built by Coburn. An innovative, pedestrian-oriented neighborhood, this seven-acre parcel has become a residential community of mostly small, detached housing with condominium and townhouse-style units. Individual cottages are part of the mix, as well as a Montessori preschool to serve the community. Public green spaces and pathways between streets help the residents feel safe and connected, while front porches and narrow roadways contribute to this neighborly feeling. The project contributes over 40 residential units to Boulder’s affordable housing efforts.
