An artist at heart, Heidi developed an early sensitivity for design with an 11-year career in floral and event design working in New York State, Phoenix, Santa Barbara, Portland, OR and Boulder CO. She returned to school in 2006, where she earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from CU Boulder while founding a sustainability-focused student group and serving on the Architecture and Planning Student government. She progressed her focus on the environmental and social impacts of urban and residential spaces with a Master of Architecture degree from Portland State University.
At Coburn, Heidi focuses on non-traditional housing, multifamily, and mixed-use projects in the Boulder and Denver areas. Heidi’s zeal for detail and Dynamic design approach are paramount to her work on complex projects, where she has developed cutting edge design strategies such as a community kitchens and flexible spaces. Her respect for code paired with her dedication to social sustainability have played a vital role in shaping interior and exterior spaces across multiple building genres.
