The Saltlick Building in Crested Butte, Colorado occupies a key location on the town’s historic Elk Avenue main street. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, development review was a painstaking process involving a series of owners over a period of several years. Coburn Development took control of the project in 2004, redesigned the project, brought clarity to the process and ultimately completed the building. The final design responds sensitively to its surrounding and is an integral part of Crested Butte’s downtown.
