This historical remodel project, located on Pine Street in Boulder, CO, involved the renovation of a 2,000 square foot home with the goal of updating and enhancing the structure while preserving the historical charm. The scope of work included the removal of a secondary interior staircase that no longer served the functional needs of the home, and creating a bedroom and bathroom in its place. The remodel included updated finishes for the majority of the home, with special considerations taken to retain or replicate the historical details, such as trim work, flooring and windows, where possible. The project included upgrades to the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure the space met modern standards of efficiency. The balance of historic preservation with modern functionality aims to create a living environment that is both beautiful and functional.
